(our latest steps): A HLF Backstage Pass!

Maybe you’ve been to a His Little Feet concert. You’ve heard the children as they come dancing into the sanctuary. You’ve seen them introduce themselves and their countries. You’ve watched in awe as each child worships with choreography and song. You’ve watched short films that have encouraged you to (be in on it).
You’ve heard the plight of the orphan and maybe even felt the call to speak up for children in need around the world.
But have you ever wondered what goes into putting on a His Little Feet Concert? Well here is your backstage pass!!!

Learning the Choreography

DSC_00701
Long before the children arrive to the United States, they have been rehearsing and preparing for the concert. Auntie Christa works hard each tour to create worshipful choreography for all of our new songs. Once the choir arrives to the United States, the entire team of children from around the world merges together to work on and learn all the movements and stage positions.

But what’s more important, Auntie Christa teaches the children to love and appreciate one another for what each of them bring to the choir, as well as why they sing praises to God, and the meaning behind each of the lyrics.

Whether the children sing in front of a large audience or an empty auditorium, our focus is always singing praises to our God.

Recording the Music

Septemeber-2013-2211
Over the years, His Little Feet has been blessed to have worked with amazing musicians, songwriters, and producers to record five amazing albums. Our time in Tennessee is always full of lots of hard work, meaningful times of worship,
laughs, and special memories!
Septemeber-2013-1971
Every album makes a priority to showcase each child’s home country and language. Even the instrumental aspects of our music reflects the uniqueness of each culture!

Preparing Our Hearts

Alabama-April-2013-2181
Just minutes before the children take the stage, the team has a time of preparation and devotion to focus their minds and hearts on the Lord. After performing many concerts each tour, it’s important to remember why we do it – to celebrate the uniqueness of God’s creation and bring glory to Him!

We pray that each song would be made like new, and that the God would use His Little Feet for His purposes and kingdom.

Praying Hearts Are Moved

Alabama-April-2013-1701
At every venue, His Little Feet prays that God would move in the hearts of those who are there. We pray that our concert will create not a entertaining program, but an environment of worship. We pray that those sitting in the audience would feel led to worship along side of the choir. We pray that the Gospel would be displayed throughout the concert, and that Jesus would be introduced to anyone who does not yet know him personally.
April-2013-0911
We also pray that vulnerable children around the world would be advocated for. The Bible calls us to stand up for the weak and needy.
