(our latest steps): The Greatest Story

Traveling with children across the county, our team ends up reading many stories.
Some are fiction adventure stories about heroes, others are classic biographies about missionaries and martyrs…
many are centered on themes such as love and devotion.
But there is no doubt that the greatest story we have privilege to read to our choir children,
is the story of Jesus. A story of the ultimate love and sacrifice.
A story that surpasses all other stories.
This week the kids visited Storybook Land in Aberdeen, South Dakota.

They had a ton of fun riding rides…
…and meeting fictional characters from some
of America’s classic tales.

They met up with the mouse from “If You Give A Mouse A Cookie”.
As they were walking up, Henok excitedly shouted,
“Hey! There is that mouse that likes cookies and milk!”
Storybook Land gave us a wonderful opportunity
to also reflect on God’s beautiful story!
Praise God it’s not a fictional story!
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.” John 1:1

D-I and Buangi memorizing Bible verses.
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching,
for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.”

His Little Feet was asked to perform at the world renown
Medora Musical stage in North Dakota.
“Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.”
Lyrics of Blessed Assurance
