(our latest steps): Abide in Him
January 30, 2017
Jesus promises that if we remain in Him (or abide)
that he will remain in us. Just like a branch on a vine,
that grows and is tended, so we can grow and be tended to
if we align ourselves with Christ.
This week, while we spent a week in
Fresno and Madera, CA,
among beautiful vineyards, we meditated on this truth.
Our dear His Little Feet friends, the Kinabrews,
welcomed our entire to stay on their farm for the week.
Uncle Bruce, Auntie Densie, and Nathan
not only opened up their home,
but provided encouragement and refreshment
to our team!
We took a a fun tractor ride through the vineyards!
“As the Father has loved Me,
so have I loved you. Remain in My love.”
John 15:9
Uncle Bruce gave an amazing devotional about
an avocado and it’s seed.
Although it looks like just one seed, each
avocado has the potential to grow an entire
avocado tree and thus many more seeds and future trees.
As we plant seed in the choir children year,
we have faith that the Lord will grow those seeds
to produce deep roots, tall trees
and many more pieces of fruit.
The spread of the Gospel just keeps continuing!
“Abide in me, and I in you.
As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself,
unless it abides in the vine, neither can you,
unless you abide in me.”
John 15:4
Dinner at the Kinabrews.
What a sweet time of fellowship!
Uncle Jeff, Auntie Becca, Avagale and Aden Mae led the
team for the week, and loved spending time with the
children and staff!
Uncle Jeff giving a devotional before the concert.
It doesn’t matter if we sing in a small church or
at a large conference, God calls us to give our best.
“Whoever can be trusted with very little
can also be trusted with much,”
Luke 16:10a
“I have told you these things so that My joy may be in you
and your joy may be complete.”
John 15:11
And what joy we do have in Lord! He has rescued us
and loves us as his children!
“Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did You leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful”
Lyrics by Matt Redman
