FAQ

While the children are in the States, they participate in the His Little Feet Life Training Academy. The children receive tutoring and training in academics (English, Mathematics, Language Arts and Physical Education), performing arts (Music, Choreography and Drama) and life skills (Leadership Development, Team Building and Social Skills.). The His Little Feet Life Training Academy provides a holistic approach over a short season of time, providing the children with experiences that change their lives forever.
The English curriculum used at the His Little Feet Life Training Academy is called ACE. This individualized curriculum introduces children to concrete and abstract reasoning skills at appropriate age levels. ACE’s curriculum contains grade level vocabulary and concepts that move in a mastery-based format from simple to complex and from concrete to abstract. This unique program consists of mastery-based curriculum and materials that are self-instructional, character building, and individually prescribed.

Whether the student is a high achiever, a moderately paced learner, or a slow learner, the ACE educational process begins at the exact level determined by the child’s ability. This is individualization, making it possible for each student to master the subject matter before moving on. Such mastery is the foundation upon which all future learning is built.

Currently, there are 200 ACE staff members provide training services, curriculum, and materials for an international network of 6,000 schools and thousands of home educators in over 140 countries.

At the beginning, throughout and end of the Life Training Academy school year, His Little Feet assesses and evaluates each student’s academic level, advancement and potential. The following testing tools are used for assessment and evaluation: ACE online testing, ACE individual Pace Tests Curriculum, and the United States standardized test “Iowa Test of Basic Skills.” Also, each student, along with their tutor, keeps an individual log of their work and progress.

Equally important to the English curriculum, the other curriculum used in the His Little Feet Life Training Academy originates from the student’s country of origin, prescribed by the academic professionals overseeing the children’s study’s in their home country. The His Little Feet Life Training Academy esteems the ongoing education of the children in their native language and therefore structures time for “International School” to take place on a weekly basis, specifically taught by the international essential support staff that are assigned to travel with, chaperone, translate, direct and tutor the children throughout the entire time the children are in the Untied States.

All of the tour staff are assigned as the tutors and instructors for the His Little Feet Life Training Academy. The supervisors for the His Little Feet Life Training Academy manage and assess the program, as well as each have baccalaureate and/or post-baccalaureate education-focused degrees and experience.
All of the His Little Feet Life Training Academy Staff are CPR & First Aid certified, background checked on a National level, and trained to tutor and teach the academic curriculum (ACE Academics), performing arts (HLF music and choreography) and life skills (leadership development, team building and social skills).
